CEDAR Project Review Meeting

The ANR Chair of Excellence project CEDAR came to its programmed end on January 14, 2015. Started on January 15, 2013, this project's objective was to put extant Semantic Web technology through testing with regards to scalability and distribution. Along such technology, we also carried out our own experiments, and developed proof-of-concept prototypes in the course of the project.

We learned a lot during this short-lived experimental project. We could also come up with a few original results and ideas of our own worthy of assessment by a panel of independent experts.

Thus, a CEDAR recap meeting was held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Nautibus Building, on the La Doua campus of the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in Villeurbanne, France. It was a one-day technical meeting consisting of two parts: a morning session in which the CEDAR project members presented the nature of their work and the progress made in the course of the project up to that date; and an afternoon session in which expert guests shared their assessment of the material presented to them in the morning, followed by a general discussion and synthetic recapitulation of the meeting's proceedings.
